The Department of Immigration and Border Protection is warning web users against a fraudulent copycat website posing as an official Departmental site, under the web address www.immigovau.co.
A Departmental spokesperson labelled the unauthorised site as a well-camouflaged fake that mimics the appearance and layout of the official webpage, and urged web users to avoid it.
The official website (Department of Home Affairs) is the only official website of the DIBP, characterised by the country code .gov.au at the end of the web address.
