Update on new credit card surcharge for Visa Application Charges

Details regarding the new Government-imposed credit card surcharge for Visa Application Charges (VACs) have been released on the department website.

Visa and Mastercard – 1.08%
American Express and JCB – 1.99%
Diners Club International – 2.91%

The surcharge commenced from 19 April 2014.

The Migration Institute of Australia reports that the DIBP website’s ‘How to Pay’ page has been updated to explain the new cost from the date of application.

I've worked with Migration Solutions for the past three years and a bit on my Partner Visa application which was very recently approved! My application was more complicated than most due to an error on my part applying for a Bridging Visa E during the pandemic, but the migrant agents I've worked with through Migration Solutions have been there every step of the way to make my application and collection of information for Home Affairs as smooth and seamless as possible.
